User Journey and Task Completion

E-commerce

  • Task Analysis and assessment of effectiveness of key journeys and site navigation for new site. (Made.com)
  • Research into key elements of customer product research and purchase journey. (Made.com)



B2C – Travel

  • Comparative performance testing of alternative user interfaces – identification of number of potential appropriate options and the ideal choice. (Cheapflights – Momondo Group). The evidence gathered enabled the key design decisions that differentiated the Product design from key competitors in the market.


B2B – SaaS – Investment ProfessionalsComplex Technical Context

  • Understanding the requirements for a new interface for a B2B dark pool equity trading tool. Interviewing Traders at large scale investment banks on their current usage of tool and indentification of key factors for the improvement of the client’s offereing. (Consultancy client organisation)
  • User interviews – with 9 Traders (from organisations such as Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan) covering their use, context, behaviours and requirements.


Strategic User Research – wide scale intelligence gathering

  • Overseeing the successful implementation of strategic research programme:
    • Gathering Intelligence and wider customer attitudes to travel
    • Identifying and prioritising key areas for the research to cover
    • Identifying and determing key customer traits to aid identifcation of appropriate participants
    • Working with specialist recruiter to create scripts to identify candidates that match all criteria for inclusion in the programme
    • Research encompassed 60 user interviews of approx an hour each
    • Intelligence gathered to support the ongoing Product Development roadmap with evidenced information to identify Product priorities and critical design decisions.
    • Multiple user interview scripts developed to cover all aspect of identified target intelligence.
    • Logistics organising included – recording of all sessions (typically conducting 5-6 interviews per day).
    • Assigning and organising the 6 members of the UX team to the various interviews.
    • Organising sessions between interviews to assess current status and determine need for re-adjustmnents.
    • Running sessions with the full team to gather, map and synthesise the key learnings.
    • Establish sessions to make key learnings available throughout the business as a strategic asset.
