I have had the opportunity to work with numerous organisations across the course of my career. However, the bulk of my experience has been working in financial and investment services.

Including 6 years with Edward Jones Investments, over 4 years experience with a Design & Technology consultancy whose primary clients were large scale corporate investment banks.

In addition I have worked in agencies and consultancies where my clients were frequently in the finance and investment spaces. These included retail banks, wealth management arms of large scale financial institutions. My UX work for clients included work for Standard Life and Lloyds Banking group.

Grounding: my first role in UX was set against an Investment Services Context (2004 – 2010)

At the outset of my UX career I spent 6 years at Edward Jones Investments based in their UK offices at Canary Wharf. Over the course of this time I worked side by side with colleagues across the organisation delivering UX solutions for the investment side (Equities, Fixed Income Research and Sales) through to Financial Advisor training, Compliance, Marketing and more.

This gave a wide ranging opportunity to understand the investment services world and how it can be offered in a clear and straightforward way to both everyday investors and high-net worth individuals.

Recent Financial Services experience (2018-2022)

In my former role I was the Lead Consultant for Scott Logic whose main clients are primarily investment banks. I engage at the outset of projects with the most senior stakeholders to determine, advise, design and deliver on best practice User Experience in challenging and established environments.

Each of these projects involved:

Applying UX approaches that were adaptable to the situation at hand and advising on practices for ongoing delivery of strategic competitive advantage. This was achieved through quality User Experience solutions and the required approaches & practices to deliver them successfully.
